Sunday Golf Loma XL Carry Bag

The Sunday Golf Loma XL is a 3.4-pound carry bag with a stand, a padded double strap and room for up to eight clubs.

Why it made the list

A full stand bag is more than you need for nine holes after work or a par-3 course. The Loma XL is built for those rounds. It holds up to eight clubs, weighs 3.4 pounds and stands 33 inches tall, so it’s easy to grab and easy to carry.

It doesn’t skip the useful parts, either. The Loma XL has a dual-flex stand system, a padded double strap, an insulated two-can cooler pocket and a velour-lined pocket for valuables. Sunday Golf backs it with a free lifetime warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.

What it does well

• At 3.4 pounds, it’s barely there on your shoulders
• The stand keeps it off wet grass between shots
• The insulated pocket holds two cans
• A three-way top with a full-length divider keeps a half set organized
• A glove holder and a tee and pencil holder keep small items in reach

The size is the point. You pick six to eight clubs, toss in balls and a drink, and walk. That makes short rounds feel quicker and lighter.

Who it’s for

It suits golfers who walk short rounds, play par-3 courses or want a second bag for the range. It’s also a good fit for beginners who don’t own a full set yet.

Who should skip it

Skip it if you want all 14 clubs for a regular round. Eight is the limit, and Sunday Golf says six or seven if you use large grips. Skip it too if you ride most rounds. It works on a cart, but it may lean.

Key specs, explained

The bag is 7 inches wide, slim enough to tuck in a closet or a small trunk. The zippers are water-resistant, which handles light rain. There’s a ball pocket, a mesh pocket and a carry handle, plus the cooler and valuables pockets. The stand uses a foot pedal that extends a few inches past the base, so the bag doesn’t have a flat bottom.

How it compares

The Titleist Players 4 Carbon Stand Bag weighs 3.1 pounds and holds a full set with a four-way top. Choose it if you walk full rounds. The PING Hoofer Stand Bag (2027) adds 15 pockets for 18-hole rounds. Choose the Loma XL if you play short rounds and want the smallest, simplest bag.

Good to know

Sunday Golf lists the Loma XL at $170, down from $190, in several colors. It says to store the bag with the legs retracted, either lying down or standing upright, because leaving the legs out on a slick floor can splay and damage the stand.
